Research assistant (doctoral student) (m-f-d)

• Collaboration in national and international networks and registers (e. g. www.ftld.de, GENFI)
• Project development at the interface between neurology and biology/biochemistry
• Establishment of diagnostic assays on potential biomarker proteins of the blood brain barrier
• Writing scientific publications and reports
• Presentation of results at conferences
• Holding seminars
• Supervision of master and bachelor students
• The post holder will have the opportunity to gain scientific qualifications

• Completed scientific university degree in natural sciences
• Strong interest in neurodegenerative diseases and aging
• Strong interest in building diagnostic assays (Immunoassays, multiplex assays, mass spec assays) from biological materials, especially cerebrospinal fluid and blood
• Background knowledge of neurodegenerative diseases and blood brain barrier function is of advantage
• Advantage Expertise in histology, cell culture, immunoassays or mass spectrometry is of advantage
• excellent skills in English
• German language
