Postdoc Neuroscience - Electrophysiology (f/m/x)

• Design, execute, and refine electrophysiological and calcium imaging recording techniques to assess glia and neural activities.
• Perform pharmacological modulation to investigate neural circuit activity in the context of metabolism and energy balance.
• Lead data analysis efforts, applying advanced signal processing and statistical techniques to extract meaningful insights from electrophysiological and imaging data.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (e.g., molecular biology, bioinformatics) to integrate electrophysiological findings into broader research on neuroendocrinology and metabolism.
• Prepare high-quality reports, manuscripts, and grant proposals.
• Participate in the preparation of publications in top peer-reviewed journals.

• PhD level in a relevant field (Neuroscience, Physiology or similar).
• Strong experience in electrophysiology and advanced imaging techniques (a minimum of 5 years related experience).
• Experience working with murine models.
• High motivation, flexibility, and a proven track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research environment.

Desirable qualifications

• Knowledge of neuroendocrinology and metabolism is highly desirable.

If you fulfil all the requirements, you may be eligible for a salary grade of up to E 13. Social benefits are based on the Collective Wage Agreement for Public-Sector Employees (TVöD). The position has an (initial) fixed term of 2 years but may be extended under certain circumstances.
