Senior Scientist (m/w/d)

to join our dynamic research team.

As part of an interdisciplinary team, you will lead efforts to design, execute, and oversee in vivo study activities within AaviGen’s lead program. Your contributions will include:

Designing and reviewing study protocols.
Coordinating with third-party research organizations and monitoring their activities.
Preparing animal protocols and hands-on execution of in vivo studies
Isolating proteins and nucleic acids for advanced follow-up analysis, including dPCR, Western blotting, and immunohistochemistry (IHC).
Data analysis, documenting and presenting.

Your background

We are looking for versatile, motivated professionals with a passion for scientific innovation. Ideal candidates possess:

A master’s degree with 5+ years of experience, or a completed PhD in life sciences (e.g., molecular biology, biotechnology, virology, biochemistry, or a related field).
Strong background heart physiology and molecular cardiology
Hands-on expertise in molecular biology, biochemistry and physiology, including methods to evaluate cardiac function in small and large animal models, e.g., echocardiography, pressure-volume loops, MRI
Background in IHC, microscopy, and image analysis is a plus.
Excellent communication skills in English and German.
A structured, project-oriented approach and a willingness to travel.
