Join our General Medicines Medical Team in Germany, Switzerland, Austria (GSA) as the Real World Evidence (RWE) Medical Lead, where you'll leverage your expertise in health sciences, epidemiology, and public health to support the development, launch, and commercialization of drugs. The Real-World Data & Evidence Science (RWD & ES) team, part of GBU Medical, serves as an end-to-end strategy and execution partner in applying RWE and data science to solve business problems using real-world data.
Your main responsibilities are:
- Leading local RWE strategies, ensuring alignment with global brand initiatives, especially during pre-launch and launch phases. Developing and executing strategies to collect and analyze real-world data (RWD) to drive research and business objectives.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to generate evidence-based insights and address key research questions. Upskilling local teams through global initiatives and enhancing the organization's RWE capabilities.
- Designing and overseeing observational studies, ensuring compliance with regulatory and ethical standards. Managing relationships with external vendors and academic institutions for data acquisition and analysis.
- Analyzing real-world data using advanced methods to provide meaningful insights for decision-making.
- Engaging with external scientific communities and stakeholders to shape the acceptability and impact of RWE.
- Staying updated on the latest RWE methodologies and healthcare data trends to inform strategic planning.

About you
- Education: Advanced degree in life sciences, epidemiology, biostatistics, or data science; business or management education is a plus.
- Proven leadership in end-to-end Real World Evidence (RWE) studies for regulatory or reimbursement submissions.
- Expertise in clinical/epidemiological research with a strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
- Experience across multiple therapeutic areas, such as diabetes, cardiovascular, immunology, or rare diseases.
- Expert knowledge in RWE, with the ability to develop and execute evidence strategies aligned with business needs.
- Soft skills: Strong skills in collaboration, stakeholder management, and working within complex global teams. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
- Language: Fluent in English and German.
