Position Description
We are looking for a Senior Manager Sales Controlling EMEA to join our team in Hilden. You will act as a business partner to Head of EMEA sales with entrepreneurial attitude being co-responsible for business decisions. Help present insights and findings in meetings with C-suite executives, assist in the creation of business cases for new investment opportunities, help define and enforce CRM standards, etc. In your role you will be supported by second Controller.
The EMEA sales Regions consists of Europe, Middle East and Africa and accounts for >500m $ in revenues
Key responsibilities:
- Provide commercial guidance for the development of QIAGEN
- Act as a business partner for Head of the EMEA Sales Region
- Revenue and cost budget planning (short to long term)
- Revenue and cost controlling, business intelligence development:
- Revenue goal achievement by region/product/customer segment
- Sales force performance metrics
- Preparation of business reviews
- Support and implement profitability steering
- Coordinating and analyzing the monthly expense and revenue forecast
- Tender, quote, contract calculation and Controlling
- Commission handling and Risk Management
- Translating market opportunities into actionable recommendations.
- Assistance in month- and year-end closing activities; including audit procedures and providing information to the external auditors
Position Requirements
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent education; at least 4-6 years of experience in (Sales) Controlling
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to build strong relationships with different business partners on all levels in English and German
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with the right level of teamwork to connect with peers
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail, accountability and innovative as well as proactive thinking
- Flexible attitude and the ability to work under pressure and to achieve deadlines
- Microsoft Excel mastery is an absolute must have (VBA, Pivot Tables, etc.)
- Knowledge of SAP BW/Analysis for Excel, Salesforce.com and proficiency in PowerPoint
- International experience would be a plus
