Regulatory Scientist (m/f/d)
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Be part of our "Global Consumer Safety Team", which creates and assesses large sets of scientific data to assure the production of safe and healthy foods for consumers. Among others, we develop analytical methods to enable the quantification of pesticides residues and perform residue studies to derive maximum pesticide residue levels (MRLs).
- As Regulatory Scientist, you are responsible for developing analytical residue methods including method validations as well as planning and conducting analytical residue studies in compliance with OECD guidelines, GLP regulations, GHS standards and financial requirements.
- This role includes the preparation of food and feed matrices for trace-level pesticide analysis, including extraction and clean-up processes.
- In addition, you are accountable for the scientific advancement of the residue analytics field, which involves the continuous development, implementation and communication of innovative strategies, quantitative methods and analytical techniques.
- Furthermore, you guarantee the efficient use of external suppliers, develop and implement new ideas, concepts and approaches.
WHAT YOU OFFER
- master’s degree with 5 years of relevant work experience or PhD in natural science
- knowledge of sample preparation techniques and analytical equipment (e.g., HPLC-MS/MS) as well as processes in R&D laboratories
- expertise in plant protection products and the agricultural products industry is highly desired
- demonstrated ability to work efficiently & effectively to successfully reach research goals as an independent scientist as well as a team player of a diverse, multi-disciplinary team
- proven excellent oral and written communication skills, including timely and effective correspondence with colleagues
- excellent language skills in English and ideally in German
- Members from states outside the European Economic Area and Switzerland are requested to send their residence/work permit, including the relevant supplementary sheet.
