Postdoctoral Researcher (F/M/D) for material characterization and analysis
Desired starting date: January 1st, 2025 (or sooner), salary level E13 TV-L 100% , contract limited to two years (with general possibility for tenure in accordance with the INM-guidelines).
YOUR TASKS
- Operation and administration of several key equipment of the Energy Materials group (X-ray diffraction, electron microscopy, electrochemical testing equipment, in situ devices).
- Training new users and supporting the data analysis and design of meaningful experiments.
- Research on novel hybrid materials for next-generation electrochemical applications.
- Contribute to scientific publications, and present research findings at international conferences.
- Interacting between companies, our team, and research partners (internal and external).
YOUR PROFILE
- Ph.D. degree in chemistry, materials science, energy materials, or a related field.
- Track record in instrumental responsibility and experimental design.
- Track record in supervision of early-career scientists and training of new instrument users.
- Track record in scientific excellence and publishing scientific findings of the energy/water/recycling nexus.
- Extensive knowledge in X-ray diffraction, electron microscopy, electrochemical testing, and in situ measurements.
- Extensive experience with electrochemical methods and material synthesis.
- Ability to work as a member of an international, multi-disciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and writing skills, thorough command of German and English.
