Das Institut für Unfallchirurgische Forschung und Biomechanik (Direktorin: Prof. Dr. Anita Ignatius) betreibt Grundlagenforschung und angewandte Forschung im Bereich der Unfallchirurgie und Orthopädie. 40 Mitarbeiter arbeiten interdisziplinär an Fragestellungen zu Knochenregeneration, Biomaterialien, Tissue Engineering, sowie Wirbelsäulen- und Gelenkbiomechanik. Das Institut ist Teil des Zentrums für Muskuloskelettale Forschung Ulm (ZMFU) und eine der führenden Forschungseinrichtungen im Bereich Unfallchirurgischer Forschung. Wir bieten hervorragende Forschungsmöglichkeiten und eine sehr gute Betreuung für Doktoranden in einem motivierten und kollegialen Umfeld.
