The Institute of Clinical Microbiology, Immunology and Hygiene at the University Clinic of Erlangen, Germany, has a strong focus on the analysis of the immune response to infectious pathogens. It currently hosts eight independent research groups, which are members of several collaborative research centers at the University of Erlangen.
